Curvy Seated Twist

Today brings us another Curvy Yoga vlog — this time thanks to a couple of requests that came in via tweets.  After you watch the video, let me know how you like to spice things up curvy-style with your twists!

Loved the video. Something that also may help is pulling in the belly muscles as well as physically using the hand to move the belly skin. Pulling in the muscles of the belly while breathing fully, brings more benefit to the twist by massaging the internal organs and keeping the back in a nice neutral position.

I love your youtube video! Thank you so much for posting that! I was off work on Monday and I spent hours looking for curvy yoga videos and found almost nothing! It is so inspirational to see your work!

My integrated doctor just recommended twists for my adrenal. It’s nice to see the variations to achieve the same thing. And nice to know someone else uses the word ‘boobage’ – love it!

Thanks Anna! These are great practical ideas for getting into position and getting what’s intended out of the pose. In my practice right now, twists are where I get humble again when my ego gets amped about how kick-ass my sun-salutation Bs are. I try to stay grateful for that.
