What Happened When I Lost My Breath | Season 4, Episode 2

So, I lost my breath recently — for about a month. I was breathing so shallowly to be almost imperceptible. In today’s episode I’m sharing about what happened when I found it — and what it has to do with our theme this week, which is ahimsa, or compassion.

Also, we’ve got a guided meditation for our Body Invocation of the week: May my compassion start with me.

  • Quotes from the episode
    • “There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not  your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.”     -Martha Graham
    • “Yoga starts from the heart, spreads through the whole body, then to your loved ones, then to the whole world.” -Mark Whitwell
